It's time for the Deviation blog tour and we can't be more excited!! It's an amazing book and if you haven't read Imitation, which is book one, then go grab it! :) At the end of the post look for the giveaway!
Deviation, book 2 in the Clone Chronicles
Protect. Obey. Sacrifice.
These words are the mantra of my existence. I’m not sure if it’s Titus Rogen inspiring my desire to go against what I am or my own DNA deviating. All I can think is how Titus will look when he meets his end. It trumps even my wish for freedom. In this moment, I want nothing more than to watch the life bleed from Titus’s body. And I want it at my own hands.
Titus. The Creator.
I stare at my palms. Strength aside, I wonder if I’m capable of taking a life. A human life; one with a soul. And I wonder if that isn’t easier than taking the life of an Imitation. At least humans have souls that live on. What do I have after this? Where will I go? Back into a syringe? Will Titus recycle me? Or will I be lost forever down a lab drain?
We don’t deserve that.
We don’t deserve him.
Deserving and receiving are so very different here. And I am beginning to understand, to beat someone in this world, I‘ll have to play in it.

I totally loved Deviation! I was excited to see what would happen with Ven and Linc and everyone involved in what Titus Rogen has planned. Titus is still having Ven play his daughter but also he is still a total douche. I really don't like him. So Heather did amazing is making us not like him, it gets worse in this book. Linc and Ven are still together but still have to be careful because Titus watches everything they do. He tries to separate them in ways but they always find a way to talk. I love the mystery there. Linc is one determined guy! Titus has Mealine in a cage and uses Ven to talk to her, which doesn't work very well. Daniel is also down there and she gets thrown in his cell. You really want to pay attention here. Is Daniel Nuts or on their side?
Can Ven and Linc keep their plan to help all the imitations a secret? Even through Titus knows of their relationship, can they sneak moments? It's hard but they do and I love the tender sweetness. Titus takes Ven back to Twig City and what she see's shocks her. What he does to imitations that do not work out for his purpose makes her sick. And then she sees herself, or an imitation or is it the REAL Raven? And how many of her or imitations are there? That's my question. Heather Hildenbrand takes you on an emotional ride in this book. You are questioning every situation and every turn. And when the book ends........ you still are questioning leaving you wanting more. I loved Linc more and more in this book and Ven is getting braver. Daniel grows on me even more and the character that makes me laugh the most? Obadiah. He makes me smile and giggle and want to talk to him. He's a great friend to Ven. I am sure you want me to tell you more about what happen in the book but I won't. Because it's that good and filled with so much that just one hint of anything else will give it away! Seriously go Get it! Read Imitation fist though!
I was thrilled when Heather Hildenbrand asked us to participate in the Deviation blog tour. However I must say that I need the next book and I need it NOW! Lol but seriously I do need the next book. Now it's been a while since I read Imitaion so of course I had to go reread it and be ready for Deviation, HOLY MOTHER EFFING CRAZY! I absolutely loved this book. I lived, breathed and dream this book. There's something about the possibilities of this happening right now that intrigues me.
Ven is amazing. She grows so much in this book and is finally starting to understand the emotions that are involved with being an authentic. Now some of those emotions she might not want but it's a part of being who she is. Of what she's becoming, one thing is certain, this version of Raven is different, and maybe that'll make all the difference. One of the things I love about Heather's writing style is that she always keeps you guessing. I was literally on the edge of my seat throughout this book, I couldn't tell if the bad guys are still the bad guys, and if the good guys are really good. The one person that remained constant was Titus. He's an absolute idiot. I don't like him one bit and in the same sense he intrigues me. Whats his motive behind the "Raven's" and why does he only threaten Ven when he could easily terminate her for her disobedience? Is there something more there than just being the creator? I think so and I honestly can't wait to see what's in store next for this amazing series.
I absolutely adore Linc, that hasn't changed one bit, if anything I've grown more fond of him. Obadiah as well. Well rounded character's are not in short supply in any book written by Heather Hildenbrand, Deviation is no exception. There's plenty of emotions to keep you occupied page after page and enough action to keep you guessing. The only request I have is that I need the next book, I hate waiting to see what's going to happen next. If you haven't already picked up your copy of this book, you need to do so now, and then come back and let us know what your thoughts are!
