Pucked Release Day Blitz

Now Available, Pucked, a novel that takes you back to your first love in high school, while gaining an education of what it's like for people who suffer from Parental Alienation. During the first week of release, February 10-17, all sales will be donated to paawarness.org, so please be sure to spread the word around and help out!

Does life get in the way of love or does love get in the way of life?

Riley Silk, captain of the Warrior’s Ice Hockey team at Dalesburg High, doesn’t think life can be lived if love is present.  If there’s two things in life he knows to be true, it’s that love causes pain and hockey is his ticket to a better life.  He’s worked hard to maintain his Frozen Silk reputation in order to stay focused on his duties and goals.

Audrey Jacobs, the Warrior’s number one fan, believes life can’t be lived without love. She can find love and beauty in the muddiest of situations.  Her best friend, Riley, is under a lot of stress at home, so she does her best to brighten his mood whenever she can.

When lines cross and blur, they struggle to keep control of the simplicity their friendship once held.  With Audrey’s outlook on life usually surrounded by light, the growing darkness of her doubts and insecurities threaten to deflect her toward the wrong path.

Can she find her true self before her world burns around her?  When truths become lies, can Riley find the strength to fight his way through his own personal darkness that clings to his mind and soul?  Can he win this face-off that life has dropped in his zone, or will fate take him out of the game completely?

Who keeps the puck?

One of the things I love about blogging is the opportunity to form relationships with authors. I've been blessed by getting to know Rachel Walter, we published our first books together, chat every single day, and tease each other with the things we write. When she presented this idea of a story, I was immediately hooked. I couldn't wait for her to finish the story and bugged her often. Riley's character stuck with me, but so did Audrey. They both had their own problems but found relief in each other, but one event changed everything.

The last time I consumed a book like this was when I read Tiffany King's Wishing for Someday Soon. It's hard to take on real life issues and write them in a way that shows the beauty in tragedy. Rachel managed to do that perfectly. She's shinning a light on something that is extremely common but rarely talked about. I can fangirl over this book endlessly, but instead I rather challenge you to read it and then come back and discuss it with me. It's a life altering book that everyone needs to read.

Rachel Walter has scored with her new book Pucked. See what I did there? Ya I know. But seriously you must read this book! Not only are the character captivating, but the message to help teens in the same situation is so powerful! Riley's story will pull you in and his friendship with Audrey is one that you feel deep within. I won't go much into the story because I feel it's one you should experience for yourself. The dynamic of all the characters blends well in a story that steals you for hours and leaves you going, "Wow, what a book"! Now that I have digested it for sometime I can see this as a show on TV. Teaching people what parental alienation is. So definitely go on the ride and experience Pucked for the amazing book it is.

Double Cover Reveal- Danielle Sibarium

Once upon a time, I had time to spare and the need to read. One of the first books I picked up in my driven need to consume the written word, I came across For Always by Danielle Sibarium. I fell in love with Stephanie and Jordan's story. FELL IN LOVE with them so much that I developed a friendship with Danielle Sibarium. I mean we do share the same name so our friendship was sealed from the start. I can practically tell you what happens in each chapter as if I wrote the book. It's definitely one of my go to reads and I'm here to tell you if you haven't read it you should go grab it now. But today isn't about gushing on how much I love Danielle and her stories, but its about showing you the amazing covers that was designed for these stories.

“There’s nothing you can’t do if you want it bad enough.”

I entered the world with a massive defect. I attracted death. Like a magnet. I could feel it all around me. It wrapped its icy fingers tight around my chest, leaving me no room for escape.  That was my life before I met Jordan Brewer, the boy I became infatuated with. Obsessed with. The boy that became my everything.

I knew he wanted me, too. I saw it. I felt it. But he was older, and wouldn’t act on his feelings. I knew in time I’d make him mine. Just as he promised me a future together, his life was torn apart. He turned away from me and shut me out of his life. Could I convince him to let go of his past and hold on to me? Or would he continue to punish us both for something he couldn’t control?

Sometimes being with the one you love hurts more than being without them.”

“There’s nothing you can’t do if you want it bad enough.” This is the mantra Jordan Brewer drilled into my head since the day I met him. He convinced me nothing is out of my reach, not even him.

I love Jordan, and Jordan loves me, but something always gets in the way. I had to fight tooth and nail to convince him we belong together. Now he’s mine, but I’m not sure our love is strong enough to survive.

I’m away at school and Jordan’s playing drums for a local band. We hardly see each other, and when we do, he’s haunted by demons from his past. I’m struggling to fit in and he’s struggling with his ever-growing mountain of guilt. Will we be able to hold on to each other through the tough times, or will it all come tumbling down around us?

Author Bio
Danielle Sibarium grew up as an only child of divorced parents in Brooklyn, New York. Her imagination was developed at an early age. Surrounded by stuffed animals and imaginary friends, she transported herself into a fantasy world full of magic and wonder. Books were the gateway between her play world and reality. On any given summer afternoon she became Snow White sweeping and cooking for the dwarfs, or Cinderella waiting for the prince.

Danielle always loved dialogue and in elementary school began writing plays and short stories. This is when she began to understand she could not only bring her fantastical world to life for herself, but she could enchant others as well. And so she wrote. She wrote and wrote and wrote.

Sadly the first piece she ever sent out for publication of any sort was a letter to the editor of The Home News Tribune. It was a piece thanking the first responders for their bravery and selflessness on Sept 11th. It was chosen as letter of the week.

In 2007 Danielle collaborated with Charlotte Doreen Small to write songs for her CD More. Danielle wrote the lyrics for Take My Hand, and Goodbye, while Charlotte contributed the melody. In October 2011 Danielle’s debut novel For Always was released. She Has since released Heart Waves and the second book in the Heart Waves series, Breaking Waves.
Danielle graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with honors, and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.
