Meant to Be- Saving Angel Series

Krista Miller feels like she has lived her entire life in a glass box with her every emotion on display. She can’t help feeling like a defect as her sensitivities have made her socially inept and without any real friends; the one exception being the boy that visits her each night in her dreams.

Krista’s emotions are put to the test when a move to California triggers a devastating change to her fantasy world. The nightly comfort that the boy provides has now become a recurring nightmare as he is taken from her by an unseen force.

Struggling to appear normal, Krista enrolls in a new school and finds it to be nothing like she thought. Her new life is sent spiraling out of control from a strange connection with a boy, Mark, who claims to know all her secrets.

As Krista begins to explore the emotions that Mark evokes in her, secrets about their mysterious past and their predestined purpose threatens to separate them just when they have found each other.

So if you’ve ever read a review I’ve written about a Tiffany King book, you know how much I absolutely adore her. If you haven’t well you’re in luck. This week me and my co-blogger Christina are doing a week and then some of Tiffany King leading up to her release of No Attachments on April 30. So make sure you read all the way through because there will be a giveaway!

"I always seemed to lose track of time while I browsed the shelves of books and minutes could easily turn into hours."

Now with that being said, I have to gush on Tiffany King. The first book I picked up of hers was Wishing For Someday Soon. It was THE book that made me totally fall in love with Tiffany as a writer and not ashamed to admit my author crush on her because she can really write a page turner. After WFSS, I picked up and devoured all her books, well not totally. I bought the Saving Angel Series, but never got around to it until I came up with this idea of doing a week long review of all her magnificence. I’m ashamed to admit it’s taken me this long, but you know how it gets when free books, 99cent deals go on or that one book you’ve been dying to get your hands on is finally released, that all the books you’ve bought get pushed further into your kindle that you forget you haven’t read them. Well I didn’t forget about this series, it just took me longer to get to them.

So Meant to Be, book 1 in The Saving Angel’s Trilogy, is about Krista and Mark. Krista was adopted at a young age, keeps to herself, and is uber smart.  The one thing that has remained constant her entire life is the dreams she keeps having. Well that and the fact that she is majorly susceptible to other’s emotions. Well when some things happen in her family, her and her mother decide it’s time to move. Always being drawn to Santa Cruz, California because of these dreams and a magnetic pull, that’s where they end up. Something strange is going on with her dreams and starting a new school doesn’t seem appealing, until she meets Sam.  You know when you meet someone and get that strange instant connection like you’ve known each other for years, well that’s what happens here and best friends are born. So things are looking up for Krista, she finally has a friend, she’s in the place where she finally feels like she belongs, what else could happen? Mark.

"It's always been you, nobody else."

Mark is an Intern at the school, writing his thesis, when everything changes. Mark is beyond amazing. He’s everything I wish to find in a guy. Krista sees him in her History class and everything changes for her. She has never been attracted to anyone like she is to Mark. No one has ever caught her attention but the guy of her dreams. When their hands touch confusion sweeps over her but not Mark. Why is that? Well you’re going to have to read to figure out why and trust me when I say you will not put this book down. The way they interact with each other is swoon worthy. It’s cute to see Krista so unsure of herself. She knows how she feels about Mark but she doubts she’s good enough for him. The weird way her dreams have been happening she believes it would be easy for him to walk away from her. But will it?

"I  could spend every second of everyday in your presence and i would die a happy man.
You belong with me."

I can't say enough how much I love Mark. He seriously had me swooning at everything he said. Then there’s Sam’s boyfriend, Shawn. Shawn's a little more reserved on talking to Krista and she's not 100% comfortable with him yet. But they all can't deny this connection they have to each other. When they realize that fact and Shawn shows a picture he found that they might indeed be connected further than they all thought, other questions are brought up.Whose the people in the picture? Is it possible that siblings might be out there and they not know about it?  But why were they all adopted with the exception of Mark? Can Shawn and Krista be brother and sister? Is there more of whatever they are out there? Before questions can be answered an unforeseen twist happens. It teaches you to be careful on who you trust. Are you intrigued? Well you should be, go pick up your copy of Meant to Be on Amazon, after all it is free!

"We weren't some aliens or scientific project, we were meant to be."

So back to gushing on Tiffany King. Tiffany, girl how I adore you and your writing. Just when I think I can’t read something that I won’t love more, I’m surprised yet again. Sorry it took me so long to actually start this series, but Jordyn got me intrigued to see what happened before her, and then wanting No Attachments in my hand, had me coming up with this idea. I’ve been in a book slump lately, I think I burnt myself out so much last year with all the books I’ve read, that I haven’t really been in the mood. That coupled with me freaking out about releasing my first novel, I just haven’t been feeling it like I used to. I apologize to all our followers about our lack in posting, it should start changing. Why the change? Well because this book totally pulled me out of my slump and I CANNOT wait to read book 2 in this series! So make sure you enter the contest and follow along with us as we celebrate the awesome that’s embodied in one of my idols, Tiffany King.
<3 Dani

So when Dani introduced me to Tiffany King's books I devoured them pretty quick. I even read the saving Angels books after one of our power through reading marathons. I could not stop. But I hadn't written a review yet. Why? I have no idea lol. It's time to do that now :)

Meant to Be is book 1 of the saving angels series. Krista and her mom move to Santa Cruz. Krista has always felt that it's a special place, because you see she's had dreams, dreams of a boy who she very much wants to meet. At her new school Krista meets Sam. Sam quickly becomes her best friend. Also in one of her classes she meets Mark. Mark is an intern and ooooooo so cute! Krista and Mark have an instant connection. You have to read to watch what it is. Krista is confused, but apparently Mark isn't. Of course right? I love how guys know something and the girls don't lol. Mark is let me just say, are there more of him? He's sweet and swoon worthy. Best option yet? Sam has a boyfriend, Shawn, who is also swoon worth and very funny! Interesting thing though. Shawn and Krista look very much a like, why is that? These 4 become like instant family. Seriously you must read to see how they all connect... Don't worry... All of this was Meant to Be. You will want book 2 :) I loved this series! I find it funny that I'm writing my review after I did my Jordyn one.
